The enameling environment can be harsh, involving high temperatures and heavy components. A client with a strong focus on employee safety and wellness wanted to automate their process to move their skilled team members into safer, more technical roles. I wholeheartedly supported this vision. The bbq grill enamel production line we designed for them utilized robotics and automation for all the strenuous and hazardous tasks. Robots loaded and unloaded the heavy grill lids. The entire chemical pretreatment process was fully enclosed and automated. The high-temperature furnace area was also automated, eliminating the need for operators to work in that environment. This focus on "lights-out" operation, a key capability of a modern TIMS bbq grill enamel production line, not only created a much safer workplace but also improved consistency and uptime, as the machines could work tirelessly and precisely around the clock.
